Wild is an architecture and research studio specialising in adaptive reuse across theatres, galleries, and residential projects.
We are currently leading the £20 million refurbishment & extension of Theatro Technis in Camden, transforming the building into a new ‘Cypriot National Theatre’ in the UK.
In 2023, Wild was a finalist in the Davidson Prize for Homebuilding, proposing a straw bale self-build housing model for agricultural edge sites in Hertfordshire.
The studio was founded by James Houston BA MPhil (Cantab) ARB, formerly a Project Architect at David Kohn Architects, where he led the reimagining of S.M.A.K. Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art in Ghent, and the refurbishment of Modern Art Oxford.
